Happy August Praise Chapel Family!
August is here, and with it comes a new update! This year continues to be a testament to God’s goodness, and we’ve seen His hand at work in so many ways. Here are a few important updates and events that are coming up soon.
Ryan Worden - Guess Speaker - On Sunday, August 25th, we are excited to welcome Pastor Ryan Worden as our guest speaker. Ryan and his wife are dear friends ours and they pastor Grace Chapel Church in DeLand. I (Pastor Matt) will be preaching at Grace Chapel that day as part of a special Chapel swap. While it might seem unual for pastors to switch pulpits, Ryan and I share a kindred heart for the Gospel and pastoring. I know you’ll be blessed by his message.
Baptism and Pancake Breakfast - Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 15th, as we celebrate baptisms and enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast together. If you’re interested in being baptized, please sign up for our Chapel Connection class on September 8th, immediately after church. We will also need volunteers to help cook pancakes on the 15th—please consider lending a hand! Back to School Youth Party - To kick off the school year, we’re hosting a youth party at our house (Matt & Sarah’s House) on Friday, August 30th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. This is for all students in grades 6th-12th. During this time, we’re going to eat pizza, play games, and dig into the word of God together. We’d love for all our youth to join! Be sure to check out the event page for more details.
Bible Reading Plan - We’re journeying through the book of Exodus and exploring the story of Israel. If you haven’t joined us yet, it’s not too late! You can find the reading plan at www.praisechapelchurch.org/bible.
Two Services - As summer comes to a close, we’ll be closely monitoring our attendance to determine when we’ll need to add a second service. Should this transition happen, we’ll be calling on more volunteers to help carry the load. We’ll share more details soon and we appreciate your willingness to serve.
